This lighthouse is along the Beagle Channel neat the tip of South America.  The Beagle Channel was named after the H.M.S. Beagle, the ship on which Charles Darwin made his studies of geology, botany and zoology that laid the groundwork for his book many years later about evolution.  Darwin spent most of the voyage, which took several years, on land excursions collecting samples.
The Perito Moreno Glacier  borders Lago Argentina.  Boat excursions across the lake allow up close views of the glacier and hikes on the glacier.
