The Water Activities of Papeete, Tahiti

ADS1
Tahiti is known for its resorts with over-water bungalows, blue water, sunsets, and pristine islands. This is the view from the Intercontinental Resort on Papeete, the largest town in French Polynesia. Guests can swim in the pool in the foreground, or the saltwaer lagoon just beyond the pool, or the ocean.
These are some of the over-water bungalows. Guests can hear the waves under their room, gaze down on the fish, and swim and watch the sunset off their private patio.
You can have room service breakfast delivered by outrigger canoe, for an extra charge, of course.
The colors of the sunset and the ocean from the patio of an over-water bungalow have colors that look like a painter should pull out a brush, palette and canvas.
I lack the talent of a painter, so this was my attempt to capture an impressionist's view of the colors of the ocean and sunset. I created this effect by rotating my camera on the tripod while the shutter was open. The colors of the sunset and ocean are blurred, and the white streak is the light of a buoy.
This is the sunset view from our over-water bungalow. The island of Moorea is silhouetted against the sunset, with clouds that cling to the mountain peaks on Moorea. The corpuscular rays of the setting sun are particularly pronounced.
This is the daytime view of Moorea from our over-water bungalow on Papeete.
