The Spirit of Dublin, Ireland

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, so we are posting photos of Dublin, Ireland.   The Irish are known for their wit, humor. literature, and music.  These street performers added to the enjoyment of tourists and locals strolling in the Temple Bar district, a popular area of pubs and restaurants.
This is a typical street scene in Dublin.  The central city does not have skyscrapers or high-rises, which makes it a very livable city and preserves its character and charm.
This bicycle was parked ont he campus of Trinity College, which serves as a quiet oasis in the heart of Dublin.  
One of the bridges across the river has lots of padlocks locked on it.  This is a tradition among lovers to symbolize the everlasting nature of their commitment to each other, as they lock their lock and throw away the key in the river.  There is a similar bridge with the same tradition in Paris.
This gentleman was one of the people who were walking out of the main gate to Trinity College on one of the nights we were in Dublin. They must have had a formal dinner, as the people exited in tuxedos and formal dresses.
